What are responsive websites and why do you need one?
A responsive website is designed in a way that creates an optimal viewing experience for the user across a wide range of devices such as mobile phones, tablets, laptops and desktops. If you take a look at Going Graphic’s website on your phone, you will see that the screen resizes proportionally so that all of the content is accessible. If you take a look at the example of the Catoctin Zoo website on a smaller screen, you can see how the screen gets smaller, but the content does not adjust properly.
Here are two photos showing each of the websites on a desktop and on a mobile phone.
More and more people are using their phones and tablets to view websites. Of course you want your website to look its best and be fully functional on a smaller screen!
Take a look at your website on different devices…a desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile phone. Does it look good on each screen? Is your image resizing properly? Is your menu adjusting or converting into a hamburger style menu? How about scrolling through the website? Is it easy for you? If you are having any problems with your website so are your potential customers.
It might be time for a new website if you are experiencing any of these difficulties. Going Graphic specializes in creating fully responsive websites so if you have any questions about your site, leave me a comment and I’ll help you out!
